Clindasol (Clindamycin) 0.3 gm / 30 ml Topical Solution. For Treatment of Acne.
Composition: each 1 ml contains: Clindamycin phosphate 12 mg equivalent to Clindamycin 10 mg.
Indications: Indicated in the treatment of acne vulgaris.
Dosage and Administration: Apply a thin film of Solution twice daily to affected area.
Warning: Topical application of Clindamycin results in absorption of the antibiotic from the skin surface and cause diarrhea, bloody diarrhea, colitis.
Contraindications: Contraindicated in individuals with a history of hypersensitivity to preparations containing Clindamycin and Lincomycin, a history of regional enteritis or ulcerative colitis, or a history of antibiotic-associated colitis.
Precautions: – In the event of accidental contact with sensitive surfaces (eye, abraded skin, mucous membranes), bathe with copious amounts of cool tap water. – The solution has unpleasant taste and caution should be exercised when applying medication around the mouth.
Pregnancy: Teratogenic effects-Pregnancy Category B.
Pediatric use: Safety and effectiveness in pediatric patients under the age of 12 years have not been established.
