* Topical anti-inflammatory corticosteroid. * Indications: – Acute and chronic inflammatory dermatoses such as localized neurodermatitis, psoriasis, atopic or seborrheic dermatitis, discoid lupus erythematosus, lichen planus, granuloma annulare and the inflammatory phase of xerosis. – Allergic contact or irritant dermatitis, eczema, and insect bites. – Ano-genital pruritus. * Contraindications: – Topical corticosteroids are contraindicated to be used on perioral dermatitis, scabies, tuberculosis, ringworm or viral skin diseases, leg ulcers or areas with impaired circulation. * They should not be applied in large or for long periods during pregnancy and in infants. * Precautions and warnings: – Topical corticosteroids should not be used in presence of fungal or bacterial skin infections except in conjunction with the appropriate systemic antibiotic or chemotherapeutic agents. – Sudden withdrawal of topical corticosteroids after prolonged therapy can produce rebound exacerbation of the condition, so gradual withdrawal is always advised. – Do not apply to or near the eyes. * Dosage & mode of application: A thin film is applied on the affected area and spread gently. – Adults: 3-4 times daily. – Children: 1-2 times daily. * For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes. * Use under medical prescription only. * Store in temperature not exceeding 25 degrees C. Avoid freezing & moisture.
