LOSAZIDE 50 MG / 12.5 MG 10 TAB

** LOSAZIDE 50/12.5 mg (Losartan potassium 50 mg / Hydrochlorothiazide 12.5 mg) 10 Film-coated (F.C.) tablets.

** Anti-hypertension combination (Angiotensin II receptor antagonist + Thiazide Diuretic).

** Composition:
Each film-coated tablet contains:
Losartan potassium 50 mg + Hydrochlorothiazide 12.5 mg

** Indications:
Treatment of essential hypertension in patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled on losartan or hydrochlorothiazide monotherapy.

** Dosage and Administration:
– For adults only.
– Initial and maintenance dose: one tablet once daily. Dosage may be increased to a maximum of 2 tablets daily.
– Tablets are given in the morning without regard to meal.

** Precautions:
Losazide should be used with caution in:
– Patients receiving diuretics or low-sodium diet.
– Patients experiencing vomiting or diarrhoea.
– Renal or hepatic impairment.
– Diabetes mellitus; bronchial asthma; allergy; or patients with history of gout.
– As with other diuretics, the drug is not recommended in pregnancy.
– During lactation, a decision should be made to discontinue nursing or discontinue the drug, taking into account the importance of the drug to the nursing mother.
– Patients should be observe caution while driving or performing other tasks requiring alertness, coordination or physical dexterity.

** Contraindications:
– Hypersensitivity to the product or to sulfa drugs.
– Patients with anuria.
– Children.

** To be used under medical supervision.

** Warnings in the insert leaflet must be revised.

** Store in a dry place at a temperature not exceeding 30 degrees C.
Keep out of reach of children.
