* Nanazoxid (Nitazoxanide) 100mg/5ml Powder for Oral Suspension after Reconstitution.
Powder to prepare 60 ml suspension. Intestinal Antiprotozoal.
* Composition: Each 5ml (when reconstituted) contains: Nitazoxanide 100 mg.
* Indications and Usage:
Nanazoxid for Oral Suspension is indicated for the treatment of diarrhea caused by giardia lamblia or cryptosporidium parvum.
* Dosage and Administration:
Age 1-3 years: 5 ml of Nanazoxid 100mg for oral suspension (100 mg nitazoxanide) every 12 hours with food. Duration: 3 days
Age 4-11 years: 10 ml of Nanazoxid 100mg for oral suspension (200 mg nitazoxanide) every 12 hours with food. Duration: 3 days
– Age >/=12 years: 25 ml of Nanazoxid 100mg for oral suspension (500 mg nitazoxanide) every 12 hours with food.
* Directions for Reconstitution:
Prepare a suspension at time of dispensing as follows:
The amount of water required for preparation of the suspension is 48 ml. Shake bottle until all powder flows freely. Add approximately
one-half of the total amounts of water required for reconstitution and shake vigorously to suspend powder. Add remainder of water and
again shake vigorously.
* Information for Patients: Nanazoxid 100mg should be:
Taken with food.
Shaken well before use.
– Kept tightly closed.
– Used only for 7 days after reconstitution.
* Store at a temperature not exceeding 30 degrees C. After reconstitution, for 1 week at room temperature not exceeding 30 degrees C.
