NITAZODE 100 MG / 5 ML SUSP 60 ML

* Indications & Usage: Nitazode for Oral Suspension is indicated for the treatment of diarrhea caused by Giardia lamblia
and for the treatment of diarrhea caused by Cryptosporidium parvum.
* Directions for reconstitution:
– Reconstitute with 50 mL of water.
– Tap bottle until all powder flows freely. Add approximately one-half of the total amount of water required for
reconstitution and shake vigorously to suspend powder. Add remainder of water and again shake vigorously.
This provides 60 mL of suspension.
* Dosage & Administration:
Duartion: for 3 days
– Treatment of diarrhea caused by Giardia lamblia:
1-3 years of age: 5mL (100mg) every 12 hours with food.
4-11 years of age: 10 mL (200mg) every 12 hours with food.
Treatment of diarrhea caused by Cryptosporidium parvum:
1-3 years of age: 5mL (100mg) every 12 hours with food.
4-11 years of age: 10 mL (200mg) every 12 hours with food.
