Composition:
Each soft gelatin capsule contains :
Fish Oil……….1000mg
( Contains Eicosapentaenoic acid minimum
(EPA) 13% & Docosahexaenoic acid minimum (DHA) 9% )
Wheat Germ Oil (Linoleic acid 52 – 59%)…. 100 mg.Properties:
Fish oil the natural source of Omega 3 Fatty acids. Omega 3 triglycerides are precursors of eicosanoids in fish & when taken by man they compete with the precursor archidonic acid.
Their action in man include:
A reduction in plasma triglycerides, cholesterol & very low density lipoproteins, an increase in high density lipoproteins, an anti-inflammatory action, a fibrinolytic & anti-platelet effect.
Wheat germ oil is a rich & natural source of vitamin E that protects the oils from oxidation. besides its well known that requirements of vitamin E increases with increased dietary amounts of polyunsaturated fatty acids. In addition ; Vitamin E prevents the formation of toxic oxidation products formed from unsaturated fatty acids.
Omega 3 Plus are easily assimilated. They do not contain any artificial colouring or preservatives & are free from salts.
Indications:
Omega 3 plus capsules are used as adjuvant therapy & diabetic supplementation in :
Hyper-lipoproteinaemia associated with over weight, Diabetes, Hypertension, or atherosclerosis
Prevention &treatment of coronary heart diseases.
Rheumatoid arthritis.
Psoriasis, Eczema, other skin diseases
Warnings & precautions:
To be used under medical supervision
Keep medicine out of reach of children
Contraindication with hypersensitivity to Omega3 acid ethyl esters, fish allergy.
Used with caution in patients with coagulopathy or taking anticoagulant drug.
Dosage & route of administration & duration:
One capsule to be swallowed three times daily.
A regular course is recommended.
